Movie Mania is a small DVD rental company with simple site design; we'd steer clear as there are better options. They appear to be based out of a small DVD rental shop (500+ titles) in Gurgaon, but do free home delivery for certain areas of the city only.
There are no online queues of films you want to watch--you have to call them to reserve titles for delivery. The process is not automated. In fact, they have a huge list of every title they have in stock, on which which you can do a simple title search.
The site design looks like vintage late 1990s, complete with outrageous background, and out-of-the-box frames. Even the logo is pixilated, and plays an annoyingly computerized-sounding Mission Impossible theme tune. There is some title information, synopsis, stars, director, genre, format, language, subtitles, and rating.
There are only eight English language genres to browse, and none are listed for Hindi or Punjabi films. To their credit, they are open six days a week, closed Mondays, from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM.
Prices: Movie Mania has a very overpriced unlimited membership, all the DVDs you can watch, 1 out at a time for Rs 899. They also have a 15 DVD/25 VCD rental for Rs 1000, which must all be used within six months. Finally, they have single rentals for Rs 80, with one free rental for every 8 paid. This required an Rs 100 processing (membership) fee and a Rs 300 refundable deposit.
